a Unity of Grandness

Grandmother records has newly expanded into a supernova of the spectral noises of the icelandic underground. Hence, therefor, because of the grandness of grandmothers, this is on the edgy side of things. We have now established a cd rack, at the only biological café in town, café hljómalind. (in one of the hoppest city's in the world, reykjavík). This rack i found in the basement of my garage, and the cd's are recorded demo's along with professional quality releases, made by this Unity of Grandness. The first concert in our series will be on the 1. of october. Acts will include Markús B, Hallvar›ur and Amelia, Retron, Psyopsis and Isidor.
Markús plays alt-country, H&A play acoustic white trash, Psyopsis are the duo of a punknurse and a sound artist, Retron play Nintendo doom metal remincesent of L.A.R.P. and Isidor plays fast and furious rock.

We had a photosession for the cover of the record last week. One taken in an old forgetten barn in the center of town. One which a cousin of mine, which was her posing as Virgin Mary holding a dog. That will be quite an interesting cover. Fri›rik did some interesting work on the photography and I'm very excited to see the results.

The formation of the new version of Grandmother Records is here. We are starting a concert series. Anyway, these will be on monthly basis with a collison of bands. We're even making a mixtape. Teh roster includes:
