tour#3

Well, this time it was for real. We did like 9 concerts in 9 days. We were also driving all day, just to get between, often 8 hours. Then it was load in, soundcheck play, and our freetime, was when animal collective were playing. Then it was load out, and sleep. We only slept 6-7 hours.
But it was very enjoyable. Its a bit hard to lay back into normality, I've only felt like watching tv this week. The cities were: Frankfurt, Munchen, Berlin, Hamburg, Utrecht in Holland, Arhus in Denmark, Gotenburg, Stockholm, and Malmö in Sweden.
I don't have any photos, cause there was an error on my memory card.
Animal Collective tour hard. They were playing for almost 2 hours straight every night, the whole tour. We played from 40 minutes up to 60 or 70 minutes. Thats pretty much for us, as almost all the songs are fast. As for AC's stamina, I have no idea how they do it. They had been touring for a month now, when the tour ended.
The concert in Berlin was really cool, it was in Volksbühne, there were alot of Icelanders there, so we got alot of shouting. I also enjoyed the venue alot in Stockholm, Södra Theater, and also in Götenburg. This just shows which cities are my personal favourites, all the venues were interesting.
Touring life is all about basic needs, eating sleeping, taking a shower, when possible. So its very simple. Its a strict routine. The good thing about it is that it gives your life a very clear mission. Getting from place A to B. So no matter how your doing, you always have a clear purpose. Where as daily life tends to be too complicated to feel purposeful.
