shostakovits rocks

Went to see melabandið. Melabandið are the synphony orchestra of iceland. they are pretty good. Tonight they played Haydn, Prokoviev and Shostakocits, synphony no.6. There was an ultra hardcore superviolinist from Japan playing a one of the 3 best Stradivarius fiddles in the world playing the Prokoviev violin concert. pretty neat.
The Shostakovits synphony was amazing, starting out really sad and slow adn builing up to happy socialist obligatory climax which was actually not that happy because shosti wasnt that happy to have to write socialist bullshit for Stalin. So it was more of a gypsy death metal anthem. which i thought was really good.
