Likn: the website

i often go and visit the my friends, Auður and Goggi, in Norðurmýri and drink some coffee. the cat stays in the bathroom or hides under a chair when i invade his home. Now Auður has taken upon herself to design a website to our band, which her boyfriend playes bass in. I'm quite happy with it.
It's at
http://nemar.lhi.is/~hallvardura/
we put it up in english and icelandic.

Hi Hallvardur,

I downloaded the second song and I like it too! It's a bit "heavy" for me - like rock kind of heavy compared to what I usually listen to but I still think it's a really good song. Are you the singer? I think I remember you saying that before but maybe I'm wrong.

I am listening to "Pain" for, like, the tenth time though and I really love it. Who composed it? Do you write music all together as a group? When will there be band photos on your website?

I'm working on a mid-term essay for my African American history course and it's really challenging. I've been trying not to procrastinate too much though because I want to do well in this course especially because the prof. is really great and I don't want to disapoint her :P That is certainly adding stress to it.

Are you on a semester system? What kind of Christmas vacation do you get? I'm done in about a month and just looking over the huge amount of work I have before then and feeling stressed out. Which makes me think I better stop posting on your blog and get back to work. *sigh*

Hi. thanks, thats great. i composed pain as a song, but then it grew within the band. I sing, me and Binni, the other guitarist, we compose together, and then it grows when the band plays together. Georg also has his input. Our range is kind of from the more ambient stuff, like pain, and then there is more beat heavy stuff like the end of the vault. To me the slow stuff is heavy too, just in a different way. but i appritiate it if its heavier then the stuff you listen too usually. i like kind a lot of relaxed stuff, and then i kind of enjoy how this crosses over too rock, and metal. I find that in classical music too. Theres also this freejazz element going on with this band, in the way that its impossible to control . I have about a month of christmas holday from the middle of december, and to early january. im on a semester term, it's like 15 weeks, there is a five week peiod then one week break, and so forth. so it's really fast. How is your holiday? Maybe you could get a gig for us in vancouver sometime, that would be nice. Then we could get some pictures for the website! Are there any places to play? I think theres something really scandinavian about Canada, its the cold, the darkness, the welfare system... Its relaxed. Actually i met some canadians and they said that the only difference between here and there is that all the houses are made from tree in canada. here they are stone, because there arent any trees really in Iceland almost. If you'd like to come here sometime, i could also help you out.
